Calling all 35 and overs!

Rathgar ladies are delighted to announce they will once again be taking part in this 2022/ 23 Vets league.  All matches have been planned with school holidays in mind and all times/locations are available here.

Vets hockey is an excellent way to stay involved and keep fit.

Leinster hockey website overview and rules: 

“The Ladies Vets section was set up by Ann Cox (Railway Union) way back in 1990 and is still going strong. This season fourteen teams will take part in the league which was designed to encourage the elder lemons amongst us to carry on playing at a more social level.

The majority of matches are played on a Friday night as this is the easiest night to book pitches as most clubs train during the week and needless to say there are very few veterans who actually admit to training unless of course you count lifting a glass or two after the match has finished!

Players must be 35 or over but those still playing in Division 1 or 2 are NOT eligible, however, each club may play 2 players aged between 30 and 35 who are no longer playing league.

The season always ends with the Annual 7-a-side tournament.
